Dowel hole glueing

In the furniture manufacturing industry, the clean glueing of dowel holes is of key importance when it comes to the quality of a workpiece. If too much glue is applied, the surplus glue leads to inaccuracies when fitting together the individual components and can also tarnish the finished product’s visual appearance. Too little glue can impair the durability. In order to ensure economical production, the general rule is to only apply as much material as is absolutely necessary. The SCHÜTZE products ensure that the same amount of glue is always applied to each dowel hole – quickly, cleanly and fully automatically. This makes production significantly more efficient, while ensuring that the quality of the workpieces always meets the standards you have promised to your customers.

Edge glueing

Edge glueing in these industries is performed by specialist machines, with the application of the glue onto the respective edge representing one step within the entire process. The thickness of the edge may vary depending on the particular workpiece, but is usually between 0.3 and 4 millimetres, with different quantities of glue being required every time.

With its special edge-glueing solutions, Schütze Apparatebau is focused on this particular step of the overall process. The specialised products are tailored to the different requirements of the various materials and adhesive types, and can be used on veneer edges, PVC edges, reinforced veneer edges or solid wood edges.

Surface bonding

Ensuring the consistent and even application of glue is particularly challenging on large surfaces, where a high level of accuracy is required along with the balanced dosing of the adhesive. Fluctuations in the amount of glue applied or even blank un-glued spaces over the entire area will reduce the quality of the workpiece and lead to problems and errors if the workpiece is to be further processed (e.g. cut or similar) after glueing.

SCHÜTZE has taken on this challenge and has developed products that ensure optimal glue distribution. These products include valves, nozzles, application heads and more, and can be used for both open-pored application and closed adhesive areas.

Cardboard adhesion

Folding boxes are frequently produced in large quantities and at high speed. In addition to the traditional box shapes and folding possibilities, there are also now a large number of different products, some of which are rather more complex. The ability to apply the adhesive with millimetre precision and in precisely dosed quantities is just as important here as the need to ensure continuity even in challenging conditions. With the specialised solutions from SCHÜTZE, you can ensure a consistently high quality with regard to cardboard adhesion while also benefiting from economical working with barely any rejects. The high-pressure adhesive feed and the precise application valves mean that hot glue can be applied as cleanly and sparingly as cold or dispersion glue. Both adhesive types are used as standard in cardboard adhesion and are even frequently combined.
